A MAN received a four-year sentence for falsely imprisoning his ex-girlfriend at a local hotel and trying to rape her and force her to drink a bottle of pesticide, said Songjiang District Court officials yesterday.
The 19-year-old, surnamed Shi, wanted to die along with his girlfriend, surnamed Huo, after Huo broke up with him. But Huo managed to call her family, who alerted police to raid the hotel room.
