Be Alert, Say Police
SHANGHAI police are warning residents to be alert for pickpockets in the lead-up to the Spring Festival. Theft increases in this period due to rising population movement.
Four anti-theft tips were provided yesterday for bus commuters.
1. Don't crowd or squeeze at the front when the bus stops.
2. Don't put valuables in exposed pockets.
3. Don't fall asleep on a bus or Metro.
4. If you're robbed, tell staff immediately.
