Be a Beatle or a footballer at the Liverpool exhibit
AT Liverpool's exhibition at the 2010 World Expo, you'll be able to take penalty shots against a Merseyside goalkeeper, or play music like a Beatle.
The English port city's Urban Best Practices Area Exhibition hopes to rock everyone with its famous football and music.
Visitors will first enter a 3D theater for a virtual trip on a cruise liner, viewing scenery from Shanghai to Liverpool and other parts of Britain.
Later comes what may be a hard choice: Whether to enter the Sport gateway, to play the virtual penalty shoot-out; Music, to imagine being a Beatle; or the English North West, to take in the sights.
Liverpool 360, a main exhibition space, will boast two arced multimedia walls offering interactive content on Liverpool culture.
Details of Liverpool's exhibition were revealed yesterday when the site for the exhibition was handed over to the Liverpool government.
"We have just celebrated the 10th anniversary of our official twinning with Shanghai," said Councilor Warren Bradley, leader of Liverpool City Council.
"We wish to use the pavilion to build upon what is already a very strong relationship with the Chinese people and with Shanghai in particular."
