Beggar held over ATM theft

A BEGGAR has been held for alleged taking more than 6,000 yuan (US$943) from a bank card left by a passenger at an ATM in Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station, city police said yesterday.
The beggar, surnamed Sang, took 6,200 yuan from the bank card on November 3, police claimed. He was detained on November 15.
