Bomb threat empties airliner

PASSENGERS were taken off a plane yesterday at the Pudong International Airport after a telephoned bomb threat.

Police searched and found no bomb that a caller said had been placed on the flight from Nagoya, Japan, to Chengdu, with a stop in Shanghai. The plane took off late at night after the alarm was lifted, said police.
