Bus crushes a moped rider to death

A woman died this morning after she was hit by a bus in Putuo District.
The accident happened at about 8am when the bus ran over the woman who was riding a moped at the intersection of Wuning Road and Caoyang Road, a witness said.
The woman was crushed beneath the bus wheel and died on the scene, the witness said.
Also in Putuo, a cyclist was injured yesterday in a crash with a cement mixer vehicle. The man suffered a broken leg and had an operation in the hospital.
