Bus driver attacker captured in Pudong today

CITY police said today that the man who attacked a woman bus driver on May 13 has been caught.
The 33-year-old suspect surnamed Shen was seized this morning in Pudong New Area and will be given a mental examination, police said.
Shen fled the city after the attack and was spotted traveling in neighboring provinces, police said.
He left on the bus a bag containing drugs to treat depression and his mother was found to have a history of mental disease, authorities said.
On May 13 Shen beat bus driver Zhou Weiqin for making a stop at a place as he expected. The assault lasted about three minutes and was recorded by a surveillance camera on the bus.
Zhou suffered a broken rib and injuries in her neck. She is still being treated in a local hospital.
