CPPCC drops accused member

JIAO Zichun, former chairman of the Board of Changjiang Computer Group, was dismissed as a member of the Shanghai Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, according to a decision passed yesterday by the committee, the city's top political advisory body. Jiao has been arrested by local prosecutors for the alleged crimes of embezzlement and taking bribes, according to the committee.
