Car scratching man 'hated rich'
AN unemployed man was sentenced to one year in prison with probation of one year yesterday by the Jing'an District People's Court for scratching cars parking in a residential community.
The man surnamed Sun, who is in his fifties, said he didn't live a wealthy life and hated rich people. He decided to scratch cars to vent his anger. Late on March 10, Su scratched nine cars parked in a community on Nanjing Road W., causing 19,900 yuan (US$3,071) in damage.
