Charged in crash

THE Porsche driver whose car crashed into a taxi and injured three on Saturday night has been detained for drunken driving, police said yesterday. The young driver surnamed Cui failed the blood-alcohol test with a reading of 0.142mg/ml, police said. The 20-year-old from Shandong Province is out on bail. Wei Genlin, the taxi driver and one of the three wounded, remained in a coma yesterday. He suffered severe head injuries and is listed in critical condition.
