Check out Czech's fruits of civilization
CZECH Pavilion, themed "Fruits of Civilization," covers 2,000 square meters in Zone C near the Europe Joint Pavilion I and II and Europe Square.
Its National Pavilion Day is today.
The Czech Republic is known for history and culture and the celebration will feature music, fashion, a circus and famous puppet shows. The show will spill out of the pavilion and fill public areas such as Europe Square, and nearby streets.
A parade starts at 12pm.
Gymnastic wheels, with performers inside, and a long circus parade will follow the Bocheng Road parade route. Orchestra musicians, street theater performers, circus performers and others will enliven the route.
Europe Square near the pavilion will feature continuous performances from 10am to 10pm. The program includes puppet show, a world music concert, underground pop, hip-hop, rock, orchestral music, musical fusion between Czech and Chinese artists, jazz and dance, among other entertainment.
The highlight is famed violinist Pavel Sporcl and pianist Petr Jirikovsky.
The Group Level Square 5 also features theater, dance and puppet shows from 10am to 8pm. Actors and artists will entertain people waiting in the pavilion queue.
The pavilion illustrates sustainable city planning with a fusion of heritage and modern buildings, projected on multimedia screens.
