Chemical plant blast injures 6 in Jinshan

An explosion occurred in a chemical plant this afternoon in Shanghai, leaving six workers injured, authority reported.
At about 2:15pm, the explosion happened at a workshop in the chemical plant at an industrial zone on Jinhuan Road in Jinshan District, according to rescuers.
The fire has been taken under control and rescue efforts are still under way.
Authorities are investigating the accident reason.
On Sunday, a fire engulfed a chemical company in the Pudong New Area. No one was injured in the fire that lasted for hours, fire authorities said.
