Chengdu Giant Panda Base seeks volunteers
CHENGDU, capital of Sichuan Province in southwest China and home to a national giant panda breeding and research base, will start a global search for six voluntees to live with the giant pandas for one month.
A ceremony will be held on Sunday at the Chengdu Pavilion in the Urban Best Practices Area in the Expo site. Anyone who is passionate for wildlife protection can volunteer for the role of "giant panda guardian." All their travel costs will be covered by the Chengdu Panda Base and World Wildlife Fund, said the event sponsors.
