China Pavilion painting
A PAINTING dedicated to the Shanghai Expo will be displayed at the China Pavilion on Saturday. The 20-meter-long piece of art was created by young painters in Shanghai and includes all the 200 plus pavilions at the Expo.
The painting vividly depicts more than 7,000 people, including visitors, Expo workers, tour guides, drivers and volunteers.
The artists used traditional Chinese painting techniques to create the beautiful scenes. But the artists showed a sense of humor as well, adding scenes of "uncivilized behavior" to provide a true portrait of the six-month event.
