Chinese books entered in prestigious Leipzig fair competition

More than 250 Chinese books, which were winners of an annual “beauty” competition organized by the Shanghai Press and Publication Bureau, are on display until Sunday at the four-day Leipzig Book Fair in Germany.
It’s the first time all competition winners from the past 12 years will be shown together in Germany and for the Leipzig Book Fair to set up a separate 120-square-meter China Pavilion for the display, the bureau said.
The Leipzig fair has a competition to select the most beautifully designed books in the world each year. Thirteen Chinese books have won the competition since 2003.
