City code cracked by Serbia

SERBIA celebrates its National Pavilion Day today.

The pavilion's theme is "City Code" and the exterior design of the pavilion is based on traditional Serbian carpet weaving, a process that symbolizes the unification and harmonizing of ancient and modern.

LED lights on the outer walls sparkle at night.

Inside there are halls, exhibition areas and lounges.

The pavilion adopts the element of "time" to connect not only many interesting exhibits but also past, present and future. There's a "time machine" which can give people the sensation of traveling across time.

"Faces of Serbia" shows how the Serbian people make effective use of time in their urban environment.

Eight components of the "City Code" defining urban vitality are "woven" together: the history of city development, the culture of individuality, commerce, citizenship, city lifestyles, urban ecosystems, art and technology and communications.
