City's warm winter not over yet

SHANGHAI is seeing another "warm winter" this year where temperatures are more than 1 degree Celsius above average – and it's not over yet.

This winter, the average temperature in the past three months was 6.8 degrees, compared to 5.5 degrees in the 30-year average, weathermen told today's Oriental Morning Post.

It is the 21st such "warm winter" since 1986.

However, another cold front is expected over the weekend, with rain forecast to continue. Temperatures are set to drop to 2 degrees next Monday.
