Click here for Expo, without the crowds

BOTHERED by the long queues snaking around the popular pavilions at the World Expo site?

Try the online Expo, www.expo.cn. You'll have the chance to tour every corner of the Expo site and its pavilions from your computer screen, the Expo organizer said yesterday.

When the site is all set on Saturday, people will be able to get close looks at Expo's attractions and play Web games with other players.

The online Expo, displaying all 330-plus pavilions in 3D, will enable Internet users to see overall and detailed views of those buildings.

In some cases, the online versions of the pavilions offer extras unavailable in real life.

Click onto the Guizhou Pavilion, and you'll stand in front of the renowned Huangguoshu Waterfall and be welcomed with local wine by the Miao ethnic group. This won't happen at the Expo.
