A WOMAN has been detained for allegedly stealing more than 800 clothing items, worth more than 140,000 yuan (US$20,510), from a factory when she worked there, Qingpu District police said yesterday.
The suspect, surnamed Wang, was an inspector in the factory since late 2008. She stole one or two articles each day under her own clothes after work, police said. Wang was found stealing through the surveillance cameras in the factory.
