CLOUD and warm temperatures are expected in Shanghai for today's Qingming Festival holiday, with the maximum set to rise to 19 degrees Celsius, weathermen said yesterday.

However, the return to work tomorrow will see temperatures drop by 5 degrees and showers during the afternoon, according to the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau.

From tomorrow to Thursday, daytime highs will range between 13 and 15 degrees, dropping to between 8 and 11 at night.

Wednesday is expected to be colder but dry, and by Friday warmer temperatures are due, with the maximum due to rise to about 18 degrees, forecasters predicted.
