Committees for Lujiazui buildings

The Lujiazui Financial City, known as the 鈥淢anhattan of the East,鈥 boasts 285 commercial buildings and more than 43,000 companies, including over 340 Fortune Global 500 enterprises and 120 regional headquarters of multinational companies.
Last year, the local administration bureau initiated a pilot program to establish 鈥渂uilding affairs committees鈥 in six buildings. It has been extended to 39 buildings, the Lujiazui Administration Bureau said.
鈥淚t is like neighborhood committee 鈥 we hear from tenants and solve their problems,鈥 said Yan Ming, vice general manager from Shanghai Tower. 鈥淲e are discussing the possibility of providing childcare service for the summer to ease the burden of young working parents.鈥
