Complaints rise about Puxi Expo site

AS more people visit the Expo's Puxi site, complaints have risen about inadequate drinking fountains, toilets and information signs.

"I've already lost several items when using the toilets in Puxi, because there's no hook inside the cubicles for me to hang my bag," a visitor who asked not to be named told Shanghai Daily today.

The toilets are near the Japanese Industry Pavilion, and the visitor said sometimes cleaners were not in attendance. "I'd rather to take a bus to Pudong and use the restroom there; it's cleaner," she said

There are also no hooks inside toilet cubicles near the Pavilion of the Future, Shanghai Daily found. Poor lighting inside often means visitors have to feel around for the button to flush.

By contrast, no such problems are bothering visitors in Pudong, especially after the Expo organizers increased the number of drinking sites and toilets.
