FORTY-FOUR representatives from 37 consulates in Shanghai visited Qingpu Prison yesterday, a designated high-security prison to hold male foreign inmates in Shanghai. The prison, in southwestern Shanghai, now has 135 foreign male inmates from 37 countries with sentences up to death with a reprieve. Consuls and staff visited the cell block where the foreign inmates live and workshops where they work to reform.
