Copper theft 'an inside job'
TWO men have been detained for allegedly stealing 3 tons of copper wire from a hardware company in Jiading District, police said yesterday.
The theft was reported on February 4 by an employee, surnamed Zhang, who claimed that thieves had taken more than 200,000 yuan (US$30,456) worth of copper wire. However, during investigations, police detained Zhang and an alleged accomplice, surnamed Ji.
