SHANGHAI'S Pudong New Area police said yesterday they have detained a theft suspect sought for 11 years. The suspect, surnamed Song, was listed as wanted in November 2000 for the alleged theft of computer hard drives worth 230,000 yuan (US$36,194) from a company in Waigaoqiao. Song came to the attention of police in a recent nationwide campaign to trace fugitives. Police said he has confessed.
