Disneyland offers treat for elderly

Shanghai Disney Resort will launch its first-ever Shanghai Disneyland Senior Seasonal Pass in honor of the upcoming Chongyang Festival, a traditional Chinese event to honor the elderly.

The new pass for people 65 and older costs 498 yuan (US$74.60). It allows multiple entries on most weekdays from October 26, 2020 to January 22.

Sales will begin on October 25, the day of the Double Ninth Festival, on multiple online channels including the Shanghai Disney Resort official website, its app and WeChat accounts, as well as Disneytown Guest Services windows outside the Disneyland main entrance.

“As an immersive, family-friendly destination that blends timeless Disney storytelling and innovation, Shanghai Disney Resort is a hub where guests of all ages can come to enjoy magical adventures,” said Joe Schott, president and general manager of the resort.

“We are excited to further spread the magic of Shanghai Disneyland, inviting more senior guests to experience the wonders and excitement ... and embrace their inner child.”
