Documentary “The Great Shanghai” starts shooting

"THE Great Shanghai," a seven-episode documentary series that chronicles the history and development of Shanghai, started its shooting yesterday.
The series, produced by the Shanghai Media Group, documents the growth and achievements of the city over the past 170 or so years. Vivid stories and interesting people will be featured in the series.
Additionally, the third season for the Emmy Award-winning documentary series "China's Challenges" will also be produced this year.
The series will continue to explore and document critical issues of the country covering education, culture and environmental protection during its rapid process of development.
Shanghai Media Group will also strengthen its cooperation with BBC, Discovery and Disney in the production and overseas broadcast of documentary, movies and TV programs.
