Don't miss World Cup at Expo

SOCCER fans visiting World Expo don't have to miss out on the World Cup action, with 3D screens being set up at the South Africa Pavilion.

A 2010 FIFA World Cup franchised store is expected to open on Friday at the north end of the Expo Boulevard with more than 90 products available. Authorized products would also be on sale in some UBPA pavilions in Zone E of the Puxi side, according to Expo authorities.

Restaurants are preparing to offer beer French fries and chicken wings to their menus for soccer fans.

At the World Cup's host South Africa Pavilion, visitors will be given souvenir badges and can try wine while they watch matches.

Matches will start at 10pm Beijing time at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, with the opening match seeing South Africa play Mexico.

Meanwhile, many soccer legends will come to the Expo site after the World Cup, according to the European Union Pavilion. The former Europe superstars as Franz Beckenbauer, Michel Platini, Zinedine Zidane and Luis Figo have been listed to come to Shanghai this September and will have a match with a local team.
