Driver stops bus in time before fainting over wheel

A bus driver pulled the brake timely before he passed out while driving on downtown Changning Road this morning. No one was injured in the incident and the driver is being treated at the Huadong Hospital, according to bus company officials.
The driver in his 50s felt uncomfortable while driving a No.13 Bus along Changning Road near Jiangsu Road at about 8:20am. He pulled the bus over to the roadside before he fainted, said a company official surnamed Zhang.
The driver, his name not revealed, is in stable condition but still needs to stay in the intensive care unit for observation, Zhang told Shanghai Daily.
According to a report by xinmin.cn, many passengers offered help to the driver after the bus stopped.
