Drug pair jailed

A COUPLE, both drug addicts, were each sentenced to four years and six months in prison and fined 7,000 yuan (US$1,103) for robbery, the Jing'an District People's Court ruled yesterday. Prosecutors said Yang Shan and Xu Meng, both 30, robbed a drug dealer of 3,500 yuan and heroin on May 1. They came to Shanghai to buy drugs from a drug rehabilitation center in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province.
