Drug traffickers nabbed on train to Shanghai
THREE drug dealers have been detained after they were caught on a train to Shanghai on Sunday, Shanghai railway police said yesterday.
Nearly 139 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride or "ice" was found hidden in cigarette packs they were carrying, police said.
The suspects, two men and one woman, were nabbed in a routine check on the train from Wuhan in central Hubei Province to Shanghai as officers found them suspicious.
The trio tried to flee as police were questioning them. They confessed that they got to know each other via online game and met in Wuhan on May 18. They planned to sell "ice" in Shanghai, police said.
They all had a history of crimes involving drugs, police said.
