A MAN who slashed at two passers-by with a pair of scissors in the city's Pudong New Area after getting drunk has been detained, police said.
The injured duo, a man and a woman, suffered some cuts and scratches, which were not serious, police said yesterday. Police said the unidentified suspect was drunk when he was caught but no motive for the attack that happened at about 10pm on Monday on Shangnan Road near Lingzhao Road has come to light.
