Dry start for Qingming Festival

The three-day Qingming Festival holiday from Saturday is expected to have a dry and warm start but end with cool and drizzly skies, forecasters said.

The weather today will be cloudy, with mild 10 to 17 degrees temperatures.

According to the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau, the city will be under the northern edge of a rain belt during the holiday, which kicks off tomorrow, with no significant rainfall but big rise and drop in temperatures.

Sunshine will light up the city tomorrow with the mercury rising to 20 degrees.

But clouds will increase on Sunday with the skies turning overcast and the high falling by 5 degrees. The high will remain at 15 degrees on Monday, with some drizzle.
