Drying racks save boy's life from 6-floor fall
A 10-year-old boy survived a six-floor fall in Jiading District yesterday afternoon, Shanghai Morning Post reported.
The boy only suffered bruises in his abdomen and head but no critical injuries, the paper said.
He was seen lying in the garden below his sixth-floor apartment by neighbors who were alarmed by a loud noise from his fall.
Laundry drying racks and a window hood on the fifth and third floors apartments are believed to have cushioned the boy's fall from his family balcony and saved his life, the paper said.
