Expo Metro Line to open in April
THE Expo section of Metro Line 13 will open mid-April for Shanghai 2010 World Expo workers and tourists only.
Tourists can take the trains free with their Expo tickets after a security check, Wenhui Daily reported today.
The 5-kilometer line will connect with Line 9 at Madang Road station.
Two trains will be operated on the line, with another two on standby.
The six-carriage trains, which can carry 2,000 passengers, will run at six-minute intervals.
The first train is being given a fine tune and the other three trains will be delivered by the end of next month.
The rest part of Line 13 is under construction.
