THREE people were killed in 212 fires over the past two weeks, city authorities said yesterday. The number of blazes in the city rose 42 percent compared to the previous two weeks. Most of the fires were caused by improper use of electrical appliances and the careless disposal of cigarette butts, the authorities said.
