POLICE have detained a man who allegedly killed his daughter by stabbing her in the neck on Wednesday night in an upscale neighborhood in Fengxian District.

An autopsy showed the woman, aged 28, bled to death from a wound to the neck. Neighbors said that the man had been distraught after his wife died several days ago.

Officers said that the case is still under investigation.
