Filter, frame defects in brand-name sunglasses

MONTBLANC and C&A sunglasses were found to be substandard by the local quality watchdog for failing to adequately protect the eyes.
Among 50 sunglasses checked, seven failed tests, the Shanghai Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau said yesterday. The lenses of both Montblanc and C&A sunglasses had filter problems, while sweat would cause the frames of C&A sunglasses to rust, officials said.
