AVERAGE food prices in the Expo site -- everything from a snack to a full meal -- are now 37.9 yuan (US$5.53), down 3 yuan from last month and 6 yuan lower than during the trial operation.
Organizers said more than 90 percent of prices in stores and restaurants were the same as those outside the site while 11 high-end restaurants had been urged to adjust their prices. The survey didn't include restaurants in national pavilions.
