The Shanghai branch of Gap has launched a recall of some children’s T-shirts for a potential health hazards with 2,749 T-shirts on the Chinese mainland on the recall list. The clothing was made in Vietnam between January and May last year, according to the State Administration for Market Regulation, which received the recall plan from the company. The item number is 293309 and is in navy blue. The recall was triggered by a stamp on the chest which had excessive diisononyl phthalate. Long-term intake of the toxic plasticizer poses a potential health hazard. A refund service will be provided at Gap outlets.
