A GAS leak and fire were reported this morning in an iron and steel works in Baoshan District. No one was injured because the plant was evacuated in time, officials said.
The fire started about 9am at the Pugang iron and steel works at 99 Yuntian Road. It was put out about 10:40am, said a witness. The cause was still unclear last night.
