A NATURAL gas pipe was damaged about 8:30pm on Saturday on Gaoping Road, affecting nearly 3,000 households. The 300-millimeter pipe was broken by an excavator working on a sewage piping project.
The authorities rushed to site immediately, closed the valve and started repairs. The gas supply was resumed 12 hours later.
