Gems' quality at stores falsified

AN Enzo 18K gold ring inlaid with diamonds sold at the Huijin Department Store had a falsified color grade, local industrial and commercial authorities said yesterday. The label claimed the color grade was "L," which means the diamond had a faintly tinted yellow color. But authorities' test found the grade was actually M-N, an inferior grade with noticeable yellow.
Moreover, an Entice diamond sold at the Oriental Department Store was found to have falsified data on its purity, said the Shanghai Industrial and Commercial Administrative Bureau.
