Get ready for mooncakes
PEOLE can buy mooncakes at bakeries and seven souvenir stores at the World Expo beginning on Sunday. Most of the mooncakes, Chinese pastries traditionally eaten for the Mid-Autumn Festival, which falls on September 22 this year, are sold in gift packages at similar prices to those outside the Expo site.
The mooncakes will be available until September 23 on either side of the Huangpu River. But special mooncakes, such as those made with ice cream, are banned at the Expo.
