Glitch strands commuters on Line 3
COMMUTERS on Metro Line 3 said they were stranded on the train for an hour this morning during rush hour due to system malfunction.
A passenger surnamed You told Xinmin.cn that it took him one hour to travel five stations on the line, which usually took about 10 minutes.
Shanghai Shentong Metro Co said the malfunction occurred at 7am on a train from Zhongtan Road Station to Shanghai Railway Station.
Though the repair work was done one hour later, operation didn't fully resume until 9:50am due to the large volume of stranded commuters and trains.
