Goat-wolf rivalry retold in live-action movie

"I Love Wolffy," a live-action movie adapted from the animation series "Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf," will be released in China on July 26, the filmmaker said yesterday at the 15th Shanghai International Film Festival.
The film depicts the fantasy adventure of Big Big Wolf to save the life of his son. The classic battle of wisdom between the wolf and the goat is included in the film.
"Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf" has become the most popular Chinese-made animated series which has earned about 500 million yuan (US$78.7 million) in box office revenue.
The animation films have also been distributed abroad and delighted foreign audiences with their cute cartoon images, amusing lines and easy-to-understand stories.
