Heaters fail tests

ELECTRIC water heaters produced by Shanghai Rinnai and Zhongshan Vatti Gas Appliance Co Ltd based in Guangdong Province were found to have different energy consumption coefficients than their labels showed, the city's quality watchdog said. Four batches of water heaters out of 23 checked failed quality tests. The other two, made by Shanghai Kuabo Home Appliance Co Ltd and Shanghai Zhengke Home Appliance Co Ltd had substandard power connections.
