Houses leveled by dump truck, no one is hurt

A dump truck loaded with mud lurched sideway to avoid a head-on collision on Lingbai Road and knocked down two roadside houses in Pudong this morning. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the accident, xinmin.cn reported.
A witness said the truck was driving at a high speed when a car approached in opposite direction. To avert a head-on collision, the truck swerved to the right and rolled over, crushing the two houses in Xiangdong Village, the report said.
The driver crawled out of the truck himself unscathed. Two workers of a nearby restaurant who were living in these two houses happened to be out before the accident and narrowly escaped death.
Police investigation is ongoing.
