Hunt for machete attackers

YANGPU District police are hunting for men who hacked a migrant worker with half-meter-long knives early yesterday morning.
Peng Songbai, 30, from Hunan Province, was sent to Changhai Hospital for surgery and is still in intensive care. Police do not know what was the motive.
About 2am, screams were heard near the parking lot of a bus company on Guohe Road, Yangpu District.
"Three men chopped him with knives and ran away. The knives were about half a meter long," said cook Liu, who was woken while sleeping in a restaurant opposite.
"Two women were screaming for help beside him," Liu said.
The hospital said Peng had wounds to his head and both of his shoulders.
