EIGHT vehicles skidded on ice yesterday at the exit of Luoshan Road elevated highway in the Pudong New Area.
A van skidded into the nearby greenery area at 6:50am, and seven other accidents occurred at the same location in the following 30 minutes, but no one was hurt.
A victim said the ground was coated with thin ice. He claimed that a leaking pipe from a nearby construction site made the road icy under the cold weather, but that could not be verified later.
